After seeing “The Future is Unmanned” on a person’s profile in LinkedIn, I decided to write this article. AI with limited intelligence could have interpreted this phrase as “There would be no men in the future”. In reality, men are going nowhere, it’s just their location is changing. From the cockpit of an airplane to a chair inside a control room on the ground. They even have the same title, Pilot. More interestingly, autonomous technologies require more men. Such robots are complex compared to cockpit-ted ones and require more men hour in the development. Of course, once they are designed, they require much less men during manufacturing.
If the future is unmanned, then what will happen to all these men continuing to be born. What will happen to all those billions? Will robots work instead of men to keep men alive? Is the time coming for humanity to reduce its population voluntarily?
The nature finds its equilibrium at the end. The nature does not require humans to survive not the opposite. If we keep increasing our numbers, the nature will reduce it for us at the end and the Future will be really unmanned.
