For a long time I have been watching videos on vintage guitar amps, especially the ones created by Leo Fender. The electric guitars use one or more magnetic pickups to convert the vibration of its strings into electrical signals that are reproduced as sound by loudspeakers.
In order to capture the sound of the space, I propose Space Pickup Satellites. They would detect the changes on the magnetic field of Earth due to space radiation. The space sound would be dominated by the Sun's radiation when the satellites face the Sun. When the satellites are shielded from the Sun by the Earth, they would detect the sound of the space. Then, these signals would be converted into meaningful sound on earth like the guitar amplifier.
For a Fender Stratocaster effect, I propose three Single Coil Space Pickup Satellites. One at the south pole, one at the Equator and one at the north pole. (Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, George Harrison, David Gilmour, Eddie Van Halen)
For Gibson Les Paul fans, I propose two Humbucker Space Pickup Satellites. One at the Equator and one at the north pole. (Les Paul, Jimmy Page, Slash, David Bowie)
The guitar effects would also be created. The satellites' revolution around the Earth would yield a tremolo effect. The satellites' changing orbit and therefore its frequency would give a vibrato effect. For reverb you imagine.
While writing the article I am listening to the great solo of David Gilmore in Comfortably Numb played by a Stratocaster.
